About
Acer palmatum 'Tokao' is a vigorous, upright-growing cultivar with a documented history in Japanese horticultural literature since the late 1600s. The medium green summer foliage transforms to bright orange and yellow in autumn. This fast-growing selection typically reaches 10-12 feet in height and performs reliably in sun to part-shade conditions.
