About
Acer palmatum 'Nakakamado Weeping' is a weeping cultivar with palmate green leaves that transition to yellow-orange in autumn. The growth habit is similar to 'Ryusen' but with a less pronounced drooping form. This is an ancient variety with documented history in Japan, where the original tree in Fukushima prefecture remains notable among Japanese maples.
