About
Morus alba 'Itsogumo' is a small, deciduous shrub distinguished by extremely narrow, threadlike leaves that resemble fine strings rather than typical foliage. The foliage turns soft butter yellow in autumn before dropping. This fairly fast-growing cultivar naturally remains shrubby and compact, typically reaching 2-4 feet tall, and responds well to heavy pruning for size management. It thrives in full sun to part shade and offers distinctive textural interest in the garden.
