About
'Morton' is an upright hybrid Japanese maple resulting from a cross between Acer circinatum and Acer palmatum. It combines the rich foliar coloration of vine maple with improved hardiness and sun tolerance, performing well even in warmer southern climates. The large green leaves develop orange and red tones throughout the growing season, deepening to brilliant red in autumn. This cultivar reaches 10-12 feet tall at maturity and thrives in full sun to part shade.
