About
Acer palmatum 'Karasugawa' is an upright Japanese maple distinguished by variegated foliage that shifts throughout the growing season. Spring and early summer leaves emerge green with pink and white markings, though the intensity and pattern of variegation can fluctuate considerably from year to year. In autumn, the foliage transitions to bright orange and yellow tones. The cultivar typically reaches approximately 8 feet in height at maturity with an upright growth habit.
