About
Acer japonicum 'Giant Moon' is characterized by exceptionally large, orbicular leaves that emerge light green with pink tinges and a fine pubescence giving them a silvery appearance when young. The foliage matures to a larger size than typical for A. japonicum cultivars. Growth habit is open and distinctly layered, similar to 'Aconitifolium', with moderate vigor. This cultivar performs best in part sun to afternoon shade conditions.
