About
Acer palmatum 'Inferno' is an upright-growing cultivar with vigorous branching and exceptional sun tolerance. Spring foliage emerges orange-yellow with light red margins, while summer new growth develops a rosy red coloration that creates striking color contrast throughout the season, resembling flames. The tree reaches 10-12 feet in height at maturity and performs well in full sun to part shade, though afternoon shade is beneficial in very hot climates.
