About
Acer palmatum 'Hooftman' is an upright Japanese maple distinguished by reticulated variegation on its palmate leaves. Spring foliage emerges cream with rose overtones, highlighted by dark green veining; the variegation fades to solid green by summer before shifting to orange-yellow in autumn. This cultivar typically reaches 8 feet in height at maturity, developing a columnar habit suitable for vertical garden accents.
