Fargesia rufa 'Sunset Glow' Cold Hardy Clumping Bamboo

'Sunset Glow' is a cold-hardy clumping bamboo that maintains a non-invasive, gradually expanding form rather than running rhizomes. It reaches 6.5-12 feet in height with clumps that typically spread wider than they are tall, displaying culm sheaths that brighten considerably when soil pH is raised with lime applications. Native to high-elevation regions (3,000-8,000 feet) of Gansu and Sichuan provinces in China, Fargesia rufa 'Sunset Glow' is well-adapted to cold climates and landscape use.
