Berberis thunbergii ‘Royal Burgundy™’  Japanese Barberry Zones 5-8 Partial Sun or Full Sun   Berberis thunbergii ‘Royal Burgundy’ is an improved form of ‘Crimson Pygmy,’ originally known as ‘Gentry,’ featuring rich burgundy, velvety foliage that holds its color all summer and deepens to a striking reddish-black in fall. Discovered at Leo Gentry’s nursery in Oregon, this hardy, low-maintenance shrub produces small yellow spring flowers followed by bright red berries in fall. Compact and colorful, it reaches about 2 ft tall and 3 ft wide in 10 years.  We cannot ship Berberis thunbergii cultivars to AZ, IN, MA, ME, MI, NY, ND, PA, WA, WI, WV, VT.
