About
Acer truncatum 'Urban Sunset' is a compact, upright Shantung maple with a naturally pyramidal form that requires minimal pruning. Its dark, glossy green foliage transitions to vibrant red in autumn. This cultivar reaches approximately 20-25 feet tall and 10-15 feet wide at maturity, with relatively fast growth and a narrow habit well-suited to urban landscapes and confined spaces. It produces few seeds, making it a tidy choice for street tree applications.
