About
'Ruby Sunset' is a hybrid Shantung maple (Acer truncatum × 'Ruby Sunset') with glossy, vibrant foliage that transitions to striking red tones in autumn. The cultivar inherits enhanced cold hardiness from its hybrid parentage while maintaining the compact, rounded form and growth characteristics typical of Acer truncatum. It reaches approximately 15-20 feet tall and 15-18 feet wide at maturity (10 years), making it suitable for mid-sized landscape plantings.
