Acer rufinerve 'Hatsu yuki' Variegated Snakebark Maple

Acer rufinerve 'Hatsu yuki' is a variegated snakebark maple distinguished by its striking foliar variegation, which emerges white in spring and evolves throughout summer to a white margin bordering green leaf centers. The species displays the characteristic dark striations on green bark typical of snakebark maples, and produces golden yellow autumn foliage. This cultivar grows upright with a semi-pendulous habit, reaching 10-12 feet tall and wide over 15 years, and performs best in well-drained soil with afternoon shade protection.
