Acer rubescens Silver Cardinal

Acer rubescens Silver Cardinal is a variegated Japanese maple distinguished by pink and purple striped bark and white or cream-variegated foliage that is most prominent on younger leaves and gradually fades on mature growth. This cultivar exhibits vigorous, upright growth, reaching approximately 10 feet in 8 years. The variegation and leaf structure may vary somewhat in seedling-grown specimens compared to grafted clones. Also known in horticultural literature as A. conspicuum Silver Cardinal.
