About
Acer rubescens is a snake bark maple native to Taiwan's mountain forests, distinguished by glossy foliage that emerges in spring and distinctive striations on its bark that create visual contrast against the green underbark. Mature trees produce notable spring flower displays and typically reach 40-50 feet in height at maturity.
