Acer pseudosieboldianum ssp takesimense Wild Collected Maple

Acer pseudosieboldianum ssp. takesimense is a wild-collected form native to Ulleungdo Island, distinguished by large, rounded green leaves that are notably fuller and wider than other shirasawanum-type maples. New growth emerges with pink tones in early spring. The species is prized for its autumn display of yellow, orange, and metallic red hues, which typically persist on the tree longer and more consistently than Acer palmatum. As a grafted specimen, it reaches approximately 12-15 feet in height after 20 years.
