Acer platanoides 'Rezek' Columnar Norway Maple

'Rezek' is a slow-growing columnar Norway maple with a distinctly narrow, upright habit, reaching approximately 6-7 feet tall by 1 foot wide at maturity. The foliage displays deeply lobed leaves with sharp, incised margins and a characteristic twisted or contorted texture. This cultivar originated as a chance seedling discovered by Ed Rezek, who introduced it into commercial cultivation through Bucholz Farm; it is exceptionally difficult to propagate by grafting due to minimal scion wood, but establishes as an extremely durable and long-lived tree once established. The lamppost-like silhouette and distinctive foliar texture make it a collector's favorite for confined spaces where standard Norway maples prove impractical.
