Acer palmatum 'Yellow Cascade' Weeping Golden Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Yellow Cascade' is a weeping cultivar with butter-yellow spring foliage that transitions through electric yellow new growth, then deepens to bold orange and deep red in autumn. Its strongly pendulous branching habit creates a fountain effect when staked to height, or spreads as dense groundcover when left unstaked. Morning sun with afternoon shade optimizes the soft, warm yellow coloration through summer. According to the growers at Mr Maple, this newer selection by Talon Buckles from his Floral Wonder collection distinguishes itself from the similar 'Ryusen' through lighter, more open branching and superior golden tones; it performs equally well in containers or garden soil and is equally valued for specimen display or ground-hugging mass plantings.
