Acer palmatum 'Wabi bito' Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Wabi bito' is a medium-sized upright Japanese maple reaching 8-10 feet tall with a spread of 10-12 feet at maturity. The lobed green foliage displays striking seasonal color transitions, emerging yellow-green with pink and orange streaks in spring, deepening to orange-red with green and yellow undertones through summer, and shifting to yellow-orange in fall. This slow-growing cultivar has smooth gray-brown bark and develops a compact, well-branched form suitable for gardens and landscapes in zones 5-9.
