About
Acer palmatum 'Takao' is a historical cultivar originating in Japan around 1690, distinguished by large green palmate leaves and an upright, graceful branching structure. The foliage transitions to striking yellow and orange tones in autumn. At maturity, this cultivar reaches 8-10 feet in height with a proportional spread, making it suitable for woodland gardens, mixed borders, and moderate-sized landscapes.
