About
'Spring Plum' is a recently introduced cultivar with distinctive seasonal foliage progression: deep burgundy plum coloring in spring, followed by chartreuse veins that emerge in late spring for visual contrast. Summer foliage transitions to emerald green with a persistent plum cast, and fall color typically shifts to bright scarlet red. The tree exhibits a full, rounded habit reminiscent of full moon maples, reaching approximately 7-8 feet in 10 years, and performs best with afternoon shade in hot climates.
