About
Acer palmatum seedlings display the species' characteristic palmate foliage, which emerges light green with reddish tints from the leaf buds in spring, deepens to a darker green through summer, and transitions to bright orange and red tones in autumn. These trees exhibit natural variation typical of seed-grown material and generally demonstrate greater cold hardiness than grafted cultivars. Under favorable conditions, they develop into large specimens reaching 30 feet or more in height, making them suitable for landscape plantings or bonsai cultivation.
