About
'Red Baron' is an upright Japanese maple with deeply lobed, palmate leaves that display pronounced seasonal color variation. Spring foliage emerges deep burgundy before transitioning to green with copper-orange tones through summer; autumn brings intensification to purple and wine-red hues. The cultivar typically reaches 8-12 feet tall at maturity, making it suitable for specimen planting or landscape focal points where seasonal color changes can be fully appreciated.
