About
Acer palmatum 'Otome zakura' is an early-leafing cultivar within the Corallinum group, emerging with exceptionally bright red foliage in spring that typically persists through April before transitioning to orange and green by late May. The tree characteristically produces vivid red new growth throughout summer, creating striking color contrast against the olive-green mature foliage. Fall color ranges from orange to red. It develops an open, graceful branching habit, reaching 8-10 feet tall and 4-6 feet wide at maturity.
