About
Acer palmatum 'Omure yama' develops an initially upright form when young but gradually transitions to a distinctly weeping habit as it matures, with long, slender new growth cascading downward. The palmate foliage remains green throughout spring and summer, then transitions to rich red and orange tones in autumn. At maturity (10 years), the tree typically reaches 6-10 feet in height with a spread of 8-10 feet, forming either a weeping standard or a wide mounding form depending on early training and structural development. This cultivar prefers partial sun and well-drained, elevated soil.
