Acer palmatum 'Olsen's Frosted Strawberry' Japanese Maple

'Olsen's Frosted Strawberry' is a dwarf variegated Japanese maple with distinctive seasonal foliage changes. New spring growth emerges bright pink-red with deep red venation, gradually transitioning to cream with persistent red veining by late spring, a contrast that inspired its common name. In autumn, the foliage shifts to fiery orange and pink-red tones. The cultivar develops a compact habit, typically reaching 6-8 feet tall over 10-15 years, and benefits from afternoon shade to preserve color intensity and longevity.
