About
'Ogi tsuma gaki' produces chartreuse-green spring foliage with a distinctive thick purple border, earning its name from the Japanese term for "red fingernails." The leaves are more rounded than those of typical Tsuma gaki cultivars, reflecting the "ogi" (fan) descriptor. Fall color transitions from yellow to orange. This cultivar typically reaches 6-8 feet tall in ten years, developing a rounded habit.
