About
'Nishiki Sho' is a rough-barked Japanese maple that develops corky ridges on its trunk and branches relatively early in its development. It grows in a broad, spreading form, reaching 12-14 feet tall and 10-12 feet wide at maturity, with a slightly more compact and wider habit than similar cultivars. Foliage transitions to yellow and orange tones in autumn. The distinctive exfoliating bark texture makes this cultivar notable for winter interest.
