About
'Mizu kigure' is a Japanese maple with large, deeply lobed leaves that emerge bright lime green with burgundy-bronze highlights, a coloration that inspired its name, which translates to "the color of a leaf submerged in water." In autumn, the foliage transforms to bright orange before dropping. This cultivar typically reaches 8-10 feet in height over 15 years, making it a moderate-sized selection suitable for mixed plantings.
