About
Acer palmatum 'Mimaye' is a medium-sized Japanese maple with an upright growth habit, reaching 5-6 feet in ten years. The small leaves are notably distinctive, with drooping, slightly cupped blades that resemble tiny parachutes; foliage emerges bright yellow-green in spring, transitions to green in summer, and develops bright red-orange tones in autumn. This cultivar remains uncommon in the nursery trade.
