About
Acer palmatum 'Little Alex' emerges with cherry-red foliage in spring, deepens to rich maroon during summer, and transitions to bright red in autumn. This dwarf cultivar, which originated as a witches'-broom mutation, reaches approximately 4 feet tall and wide at maturity (10 years). The compact growth habit and sustained color display throughout the growing season make it suitable for small gardens and container cultivation.
