The variegation is quite unique for a tree in the “Mikawa Family”. In the spring, light cream variegation is nice, but as the summer approaches the older growth looks like ‘Manyo no sato’. ‘Kryptonite’ has the tight layering habit everyone loves with ‘Mikawa yatsubusa’, but the fall color is bright yellows to orange. ‘Kryptonite’ may reach 3-4 ft in height and width in 10 years.  Its rich seasonal colors will add dimension to your landscape, transforming your outdoor space in a matter of years.
