Acer palmatum 'Jerre Schwartz' Dwarf Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Jerre Schwartz' is a dwarf cultivar originating from a witches' broom mutation, distinguished by its vibrant seasonal foliage progression and compact, dense branching habit. Leaves emerge electric pink-red in spring, transitioning to lime green by mid-summer while new growth continues to display the bright pink-red coloration, creating a bicolor effect. As temperatures cool in autumn, foliage shifts to bright orange and then fiery red. Reaching approximately 6 feet tall by 4 feet wide in 15 years, this slow-growing selection is well-suited to small gardens, rock gardens, container cultivation, and mixed conifer plantings.
