About
'Issai nishiki' is a dwarf Japanese maple distinguished by its characteristically rough, furrowed bark that develops within the first year of growth. The palmate foliage displays red and orange autumn color. It typically reaches 4-6 feet in height with a spread of 2-3 feet at maturity, making it suitable for small gardens and containers. This cultivar is rarely encountered in cultivation due to propagation challenges.
