About
Acer palmatum 'Incognito' is a dwarf cultivar with a compact, upright habit that becomes increasingly dense with age. The deeply lobed, twisted foliage resembles that of 'Shishigashira' and other members of the "Lion's Head Family," providing distinctive textural interest; new spring growth emerges light green with bronze highlights before maturing to darker green in summer, then transitioning to bright fiery red in autumn. This cultivar reaches approximately 6-8 feet in height over 10 years, making it well-suited to small gardens and container cultivation.
