About
'Hoshi zora' emerges in spring with bright green, small to medium-sized palmate leaves on an extremely weeping and cascading habit. The cultivar is best displayed when staked upright to allow its pendulous branches to cascade from height. A recent introduction from Kobayashi Momi En in Japan, it arose as a chance seedling of 'Ryusen' and reportedly displays brighter fall color than its parent. The name translates as "starry sky."
