About
'Horizontalis' is a Japanese maple distinguished by distinctly horizontal, weeping branching that spreads wider than it grows tall, reaching approximately 5 feet tall by 6 feet wide at maturity. The deeply lobed leaves are finely serrated and turn gold to red in autumn. This cultivar's growth habit is more spreading and horizontal compared to upright weeping selections, making it well-suited for specimens where lateral space is available.
