About
'Groundcover' is a slow-growing dwarf Japanese maple with deeply cut, claw-like foliage that emerges pink before maturing to green. The plant exhibits a weeping, prostrate habit, spreading horizontally across the ground; after 15 years it typically reaches 1-2 feet tall by 3-4 feet wide. As the plant ages, its branches gradually lose flexibility and become more rigid, so placement should allow adequate clearance from walkways.
