About
Acer palmatum 'Ground Cover' is an exceptionally dwarf, weeping cultivar that spreads horizontally across the ground, reaching 1-2 feet tall but eventually exceeding 3-4 feet in width. The deeply dissected leaves emerge pink in spring before maturing to green through the growing season. Growth is notably slow, and this cultivar develops its characteristic prostrate habit over many years, making it well-suited to rock gardens, containers, or as a low-spreading specimen.
