About
'Grandma's Ghost' is a reticulated Japanese maple with distinctive spring foliage of creamy white to pale yellow marked by dark veining, transitioning to green in summer and brightening to orange-red in fall. The cultivar grows as wide or wider than tall, reaching approximately 4-6 feet in both dimensions at maturity. It performs best in afternoon shade in temperate climates and mostly shade in warmer regions, and requires well-drained, elevated soil. Leaf coloration varies somewhat depending on growing conditions, making it an engaging selection for collectors and gardeners seeking dynamic seasonal interest.
