Acer palmatum ‘Geisha’ Pink Japanese Maple

'Geisha' emerges in spring with intense electric pink foliage occasionally marked with lighter pink shades, green speckles, and distinctive curved lobes tinged dark red, a variegation pattern unique to this cultivar. The color gradually fades through summer to creamy white with green and red flecking, then brightens again to pink and orange in fall. It forms a dense, compact, globular habit reaching approximately 4-5 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide at maturity, making it well-suited to container cultivation. According to the growers at Mr Maple, 'Geisha' is a New Zealand selection that requires afternoon shade protection and well-draining soil to achieve its most vibrant spring coloring; it prefers moderate moisture and benefits from restrained nitrogen fertilization, which supports its naturally dwarf, multi-stemmed form.
