Acer palmatum 'Dissectum Nigrum' Weeping Red Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Dissectum Nigrum' is a weeping laceleaf maple with finely dissected foliage that emerges silvery in spring before developing deep maroon coloring. As the season progresses into late spring and early summer, the leaves transition to bronze-red or green-red tones, then brighten to scarlet in autumn. This cultivar grows to approximately 4-5 feet tall and 5-6 feet wide at maturity, displaying the characteristic pendulous branching habit of the Dissectum group. It is sometimes confused with 'Ever Red,' though the two cultivars have distinct origins and differ in their foliar development.
