Acer palmatum 'Boskoop Glory' Red Japanese Maple Tree

Acer palmatum 'Boskoop Glory' is an upright Japanese maple with deeply lobed leaves that emerge bright red in spring, darkening to maroon by summer while developing orange tones on the undersides that create a luminous effect in sunlight. As temperatures cool in late summer, emerald hues appear among the foliage before transitioning to brilliant fire-engine red in autumn. The cultivar typically reaches 10-12 feet tall in ten years. Despite its Dutch-sounding name, 'Boskoop Glory' was introduced by Wright's Nursery in Canby, Oregon, in the mid-1980s.
