About
'Babe's Dwarf' is a compact Japanese maple with a dwarf growth habit, reaching approximately 3-4 feet in height and width at maturity. The small palmate leaves emerge bright red in spring, gradually acquiring green coloration through summer to create a multi-colored foliage effect before turning bright red again in autumn. This cultivar arose as a broom mutation and represents a reduced form of a larger Japanese maple selection.
