About
Acer palmatum 'Aocha nishiki' is a deciduous shrub with palmate leaves that emerge chartreuse-green with distinctive red margins, maturing to deep green throughout the growing season; summer flushes of new foliage repeat this coloration, and occasional yellow speckled variegation may appear on mature specimens. The cultivar develops brilliant orange fall color before leaf drop. It grows as a multi-stemmed shrub, reaching approximately 8 feet in height and width at maturity.
