About
'Anne Irene' emerges in spring with bright yellow foliage edged in red, displayed on distinctly lobed and partially dissected leaves that differ markedly from typical Japanese maples. The red marginal coloring fades by summer while the yellow persists through the growing season before darkening to vibrant red in autumn. This cultivar develops an upright, tree-like form rather than the weeping habit common to dissectum types, reaching 4-6 feet tall and 2-4 feet wide at maturity.
