Acer oliverianum ssp. oliverianum, known as Oliver's maple, emerges with kelly green foliage in early spring and maintains this color through most of the growing season. This heat-tolerant species reaches approximately 18 feet in 25 years and performs exceptionally well in full sun, even in hot climates where many maples suffer leaf scorch.
