Acer oliverianum 'Nakahara Beni'

Acer oliverianum 'Nakahara Beni' is one of the heat tolerant species of Japanese maples.  'Nakahara Beni' flushes pinkish orange in the spring change to reds then olive green with rusty red blush for the summer.  Fall color is predominately orange.  If you live in the deep south, give Acer oliverianum and its cultivars a try - they are certainly the best species of Japanese maple for the hot parts of the country.
