Acer japonicum 'Filicifolium' Full Moon Japanese Maple

Acer japonicum 'Filicifolium' is distinguished by deeply dissected, finely textured foliage that creates a delicate, lacy appearance; unlike many deeply lobed japonicum cultivars, it develops an upright form rather than a mounding habit. New growth emerges chartreuse-green in spring, maturing to light green, and the tree produces small red bell-shaped flowers that offer subtle contrast against the foliage. Fall color is particularly noteworthy, displaying a range of bright yellow to deep red often appearing simultaneously on individual leaves. This midsized cultivar makes an excellent choice for gardens seeking interesting leaf form and reliable seasonal color display.
