Acer elegantulum x palmatum 'Johnnie's Giant' Japanese Maple

'Johnnie's Giant' is a vigorous hybrid of Chinese maple (Acer elegantulum) and Japanese maple, distinguished by its rapid growth and dynamic seasonal foliage display. Spring leaves emerge orange-red to yellow and mature to green, with bright pink-red new growth appearing throughout the summer. In fall, foliage transitions through yellow before deepening to orange tones. The tree reaches approximately 15 feet tall in ten years and performs well in part shade to full sun.
